Come audition for Dream Role Players' summer production of William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar!

Hannah Baker directs this dark political comedy, along the lines of movies such as In the Loop or The Death of Stalin, in which we meet some Ancient Roman senators -- petty, city-dwelling, takeout-fueled, wheeling-and-dealing politicians, fractured into squabbling factions each attempting to hypocritically advance their own agendas at each other’s expense. When a conspiracy forms to assassinate Julius Caesar, dictator for life of Rome, the fractious politicians must deal with the consequences of real blood and violence entering the political arena.

Auditions will be held on the evenings of April 21 and April 22, 2026 from 7:00pm to 10:00pm at The Guild Church (52 Russell St., Cambridge, MA).

Stipends: Actors will be offered a stipend of $100.

Callbacks will be on Thursday, April 23, from 7:00pm - 10:00pm at Morville House (100 Norway Street, Boston, 02115).

The performance dates are July 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, 18, 19, 24, and 25 (Rain date: July 23) with performances in Longfellow Park in Cambridge and Herter Park in Allston.

Rehearsals start May 17 and will be on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and Sunday late afternoons. Rehearsals will take place either at 100 Norway St in Boston, Longfellow Park, or Herter Park Amphitheater. 

If you cannot attend the auditions on April 21, 22, or 23, you may submit a video audition using the audition form above.
